Barcelona, Spain – Barcelona is preparing for a new challenge in the Spanish League, when it meets Getafe this evening, in a match in which the Catalan team seeks to achieve victory, amid anticipation of the German coach Hansi Flick’s options to compensate for the absence of the Brazilian Rafinha due to injury.
Rafinha will miss the Getafe match and will also be unavailable for the upcoming Champions League game against Galatasaray, prompting Flick to consider several attacking alternatives to select the most suitable formation for the team.
The Spanish website “Estadio Deportivo” stated that Flick is considering more than one option to compensate for the absence of Rafinha, including the young Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim, along with Gabriel Jesus, Karim Adeyemi and Dani Olmo.
Hamza Abdelkarim is hoping to get a chance to play with Barcelona’s first team, given the options being considered by the coaching staff before the Getafe match, although his presence among the substitutes does not necessarily mean he will participate in the game.
During the press conference, Flick hinted at the possibility of relying on Gabriel Jesus in the starting lineup, praising the development the player has shown during the past period, in addition to his commitment in training and his readiness to participate from the start.
The German coach said: “The idea is for him to start. He has improved a lot since his arrival, and he trained well over the past weeks. I liked his performance very much, and he is ready to start”.
According to the Spanish website “Mundo Deportivo”, the expected lineup for Barcelona against Getafe is as follows:
Goalkeeper: Juan Garcia.
Defense: Eric Garcia, Pau Coparsi, Gerard Martin, Xavi Espart.
Midfield: Rodri, Pedri, Dani Olmo.
Attack: Lamine Yamal, Gabriel Jesus, Karim Adeyemi.
