Cole Palmer has committed his future to Chelsea by signing a new and improved contract. The Englishman was under already deal until 2033, but a further 12 months have been added to that and the new terms include an increase in salary that reflects his importance.

Palmer has become the fifth key player to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge following renewals for Reece James, Moises Caicedo, Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto. The Blues announced Palmer's new contract through the man himself.
ā
He said while "streaming" on Twitch: "Well I just signed a new contract about 20 minutes ago so I'm staying for eight more years.
"That's me guys, just thought I'd announce it, I'm really happy to sign a new contract and share it with you guys and I'm looking forward to another eight more years. In a bit."

In the official statement confirming his big decision, Palmer added: "Chelsea means a lot to me and I think the club is going in the right direction, so I'm delighted to sign and Iām obviously very happy.
"Speaking to the owners, to the sporting directors and obviously the manager, they gave me a lot of confidence so it was only right to sign. Speaking to players as well, everyone has the same ambitions. I feel like we win major trophies here consistently and I want to be a part of that and play a big role in it too."
This is the second extension for Palmer since joining the club from Manchester City in 2023. He has been linked with a move to their rivals Manchester United for the last 12 or so months but those links have been quashed by his decision.
Palmer will have the opportunity to mark the announcement in style as Chelsea face Bournemouth in the Premier League this afternoon.
Xabi Alonso will be hoping that his talisman is fit and firing after withdrawing from the England squad due to load management. Joao Pedro was another rehabbing at Cobham over the extended break with Alonso able to deliver good news on him and Moises Caicedo.
On the latter, he said: "Yes, he's ready to go. Finally, you have been asking this question and we have used the time with Moises to [get him] back fit. He's been training good and he's okay to go.
"They [Pedro, James and Palmer] have been able to train. Some of them earlier than others. Marco Palestra as well. So, we have used the time and that was the plan. We knew that against Brentford we were with some players struggling but now they have trained well and they are ready to go."
