College football’s top Cowboys draft targets in Week 6

It’s never too early to check out draft prospects from the best college football matchups, where a future prospect lurks that could be on the Cowboys radar.

Georgia and Alabama are both 5-0 and scoring more than 49 points per game. Georgia counters with one of the country’s best defenses, while Alabama has forced 13 turnovers and already returned four interceptions for touchdowns. This game should expose any weakness because neither team can hide a struggling player from the opponent’s depth and athleticism.

Robinson has developed into one of the leading cornerbacks in the 2027 class. The 6-foot, 180-pound junior recorded four interceptions and seven pass breakups during his breakout 2025 season. Through five games this year, he has added nine tackles, four passes defended and another interception.

His best quality is his ability to remain connected to a receiver in man coverage. Robinson is patient at the line of scrimmage and his long arms allow him to reach through the receiver’s hands and disrupt the catch without arriving too early.

The trade for Joey Porter Jr. changed the immediate picture at cornerback, but it did not remove every long-term question. Porter arrived after extension talks with Pittsburgh failed, Shavon Revel Jr. has continued to battle injuries, DaRon Bland is showing the limitations to his game, and Dallas has already needed several replacement combinations in the secondary this season.

Robinson could give Christian Parker a corner capable of playing tight man coverage or working with his eyes on the quarterback. Pairing him with Porter or Bland would allow Dallas to be more aggressive with its pressure packages because the defence would not need to protect both outside cornerbacks on every passing down.

Coleman-Williams remains one of the most explosive receivers in college football. The 6-foot, 184-pound junior has caught 20 passes for a team-leading 376 yards and four touchdowns through five games. He is averaging 18.8 yards per reception and has scored in three consecutive games.

His acceleration is the first trait defenders notice. Coleman-Williams can attack the space behind a cornerback, but his speed is just as dangerous on crossing routes and quick throws. Alabama can move him across the formation and allow him to create yards rather than asking him to run deep on every snap.

CeeDee Lamb remains the center of the Dallas passing game, and with George Pickens playing on a one-year franchise tag, the team cannot negotiate a new contract until after the season. His future will become a major decision in 2027.

Coleman-Williams would give Dak Prescott another receiver who changes how a defense positions its safeties. He could stretch the field from outside, or turn a short completion into an explosive gain. His presence would prevent opponents from concentrating all their coverage on Lamb and be an exceptional plan of the team decides to not retain Pickens.

UCLA has built the Big Ten’s most productive rushing attack under its new coaching staff, while Oregon is averaging 47.5 points and more than 500 yards per game. The Ducks will start Dylan Raiola at quarterback because Dante Moore has been ruled out, placing even more responsibility on Oregon’s offensive line.

Knight followed his coaching staff from James Madison to UCLA after producing 2,039 all-purpose yards in 2025. The 5-foot-7, 193-pound senior has immediately handled the step into Power Four football, rushing 49 times for 445 yards and nine touchdowns through four games. His average of 9.1 yards per carry shows how frequently he has turned a normal running lane into an explosive play.

His compact build works in his favour. Knight stays low behind his blockers and changes direction without taking extra steps. He runs with more force than his height suggests and does not regularly fall at first contact.

We all know Javonte Williams is the clear starter, the uncertainty comes behind him. Emari Demercado was waived before the Tampa Bay game, leaving Tyler Goodson as the current backup and keeping the RB2 role unsettled this season and beyond.

Knight would offer something different from Williams. Dallas could use his speed on outside runs, screens and option routes while allowing Williams to remain the physical center of the rushing attack. Knight’s return experience could also help him earn an active roster place.

Laloulu is the experienced anchor of Oregon’s offensive line. The 6-foot-2, 325-pound senior entered the season with 27 consecutive starts, earned first-team All-America honours in 2025 and was a finalist for the Rimington Trophy as one of the country’s best inside offensive linemen. He allowed only one sack during Oregon’s 15-game season last year.

His power and balance are most impressive in pass protection. Laloulu has the mass to absorb a bull rush without being pushed into the quarterback, but he also keeps his feet active enough to react when a defender moves across his face. His experience shows before the snap when he identifies pressure and helps the rest of the line understand its assignments.

Dallas’ offensive line has struggled to provide consistent protection in consecutive games. Tyler Smith’s return helps, but the Cowboys still need better depth and more competition across the line. Cooper Beebe is the starting center, so this would be about strengthening the entire unit rather than replacing anyone.

Laloulu could compete at guard, serve as the backup center and give Dallas experienced cover at three interior positions. His pass-protection strength would be particularly useful after the line allowed repeated quick pressure against Houston and Tampa Bay. His center/guard versatility could also protect the Cowboys when injuries force changes.
