FC Barcelona will be kicking off their game against Getafe soon. For the Catalan giants, this is a great opportunity to retain their lead at the top of the table by ensuring that they win all of the three points that are at stake here.
Unfortunately for Hansi Flick, Brazilian forward and Barça captain Raphinha will be unable to help out the team for the time being. Still, the German coach has enough quality at his disposal to field a strong starting eleven and that is exactly what he has done.
Here is the official starting eleven for La Blaugrana.
In goal, Joan Garcia starts for Barça and he will be looking to keep Getafe at bay. Having received the medical clearance ahead of the match itself, Flick will be hoping that the Spanish goalkeeper can get back to his best version as soon as possible.
As for the defenders, Eric Garcia and Gerard Martin will be starting together to form the centre-back partnership. They will be looking to make life difficult for the Getafe forwards.
On the flanks, Jules Kounde and Xavi Espart have been chosen to start the match for the Catalan giants. Both players will have to be creative today in order to help break that rigid opposition structure.
In the midfield, Rodri has been paired up with Gavi to start as the two-man pivot in the heart of the pitch. Both players will need to be sharp and execute their actions well to provide the quality that is needed from them here.
Ahead of them, the wings are covered by Lamine Yamal and Anthony Gordon. Both players have been sublime this season, particularly the young Spanish winger, and they will be looking to provide width and offensive firepower to Barcelona.
As for the attacking midfielder, that role belongs to Dani Olmo for this game. Right ahead of him, Gabriel Jesus gets his first start for Barça this season and he will be the team’s centre-forward and focal point in attack today.
