Piero Hincapie suffered an injury in the warm-down after Arsenal beat Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.
Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds United on Saturday afternoon, returning to winning ways after a defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion put an end to their perfect start to the campaign.
The Gunners went behind courtesy of a James Justin strike for the visitors, before Riccardo Calafiori and Bruno Guimarães landed themselves on the scoresheet to complete a quick comeback.
The Italian goalscorer was replaced by Piero Hincapié within the final ten minutes, as the Ecuadorian returned to action for the first time in over a month following a muscular issue.
However, Hincapié's return to fitness did not last long, as he was carried off during the warm-down at The Emirates, according to BBC Sport.
It is standard for players named as a substitute to undergo additional running after the full-time whistle.
The extent of Hincapié’s injury is unknown, but he was clutching his right ankle before returning to the changing room.
Arsenal now focus on hosting Lille in their second league phase match of this Champions League campaign, after winning at Napoli last month.
