Ex-Manchester United star Gary Neville has had his say on Manchester City’s guilty verdict by picking out three sanctions they must face as punishment.
Last month, it was confirmed that City have been found guilty on all 115 charges relating to breaching Premier League financial rules and regulations.
Since the verdict was made public, City released a statement to declare that their position remains unchanged; the club believe that they are innocent and have now lodged an appeal.
Although a verdict has been reached, it remains to be seen whether City’s appeal will be successful and whether any punishment will be handed to the club.

Speaking recently on The Overlap Daily, Neville came up with three sanctions that should be given to City.
The former United and England full-back claimed that City’s owners should be forced to sell the club and their titles should be stripped.
In addition, Neville believes that City should also be handed a multi-year points punishment.
However, the Sky Sports pundit did say that he wants City to return to the Premier League and is not in favour of handing them relegation as punishment.
Neville said: “I think the owners should go, the titles should be stripped for the relevant period, and there should be a multi-year points punishment.
“The owners and executives are going to struggle to remain in place if the same test that I have to follow as a director and owner is applied consistently.
“I'm not particularly fixated on relegating Manchester City to League One or League Two. I want the club to return to the Premier League.”
“I was speaking to a City fan this morning who said supporters are going to wear retro kits on Sunday to show that they love the club and would go back to where they were if they had to. If that is what they do, good luck to them.
“But I can understand why the Premier League, politicians and regulators are concerned about the impact of removing the owners. For the club, the city and the east side of Manchester, the economic consequences would be enormous. That is the context, even though I have been clear about the punishment I think should happen.”

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash at Anfield against Liverpool, City boss Enzo Maresca stated that he has full faith in the club.
The Italian said: “The reason why I joined this club is I completely trust 100 per cent, the owner, the sporting director, the CEO - all the organisation. I have no doubt about that.
“I spoke with the club for sure. Probably the right moment to speak about that is when we're going to win this appeal.”
