Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell showed his support for the Cleveland Guardians ahead of their decisive Game 5 matchup against the Chicago White Sox in the American League Division Series on Saturday night.
With the Guardians preparing for an elimination game at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and truTV, Mitchell took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to rally behind Cleveland’s baseball team.
“LETS GO @CleGuardians ‼️‼️‼️”
Mitchell’s message came hours before the Guardians attempt to complete a comeback from an 0-2 series deficit.
After dropping the first two games against Chicago, Cleveland responded with a 9-3 victory in Game 3 on Wednesday before securing a 9-5 win in Game 4 on Thursday to force a winner-take-all matchup.
The Guardians will turn to right-hander Gavin Williams on the mound Saturday, while the White Sox will start Sean Burke.
The winner will advance to the American League Championship Series against the Tampa Bay Rays, with Game 1 scheduled for Monday at Tropicana Field at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and truTV.
Meanwhile, Mitchell continues preparing for the 2026-27 NBA season with the Cavaliers, who are looking to build on last season’s Eastern Conference Finals appearance.
For now, Mitchell is backing Cleveland’s baseball team as the Guardians look to keep their postseason run alive.
