Liverpool winger Bradley Barcola has opened up on his start to life at Anfield and how he's adapting following his move from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Reds' interest in the Frenchman predates the summer, with rumors first emerging in 2025 following the departure of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich. However, a move never transpired at the time, and instead, Liverpool stepped up its pursuit at the end of last season following another attacking exit in Mohamed Salah.

Despite the club's longstanding interest, a move for the player was far from straightforward. Liverpool's attack was boosted early in the window by the arrival of Victor Munoz from Osasuna, but new head coach Andoni Iraola was made to wait until a matter of days before the deadline to land his marquee signing.

Since completing his big-money move from PSG to Liverpool, Barcola has made five appearances across all competitions. His debut came in the Premier League win over Ipswich Town in early September, a game the Reds won 2-0 courtesy of a brace from Alexander Isak.

Barcola, though, is yet to make his mark as his wait for a goal or an assist continues. This weekend against Manchester City could be the perfect opportunity to get up and running, as Iraola will be relying on him in light of the injury absences of Isak and Cody Gakpo.

Speaking to LFCTV before the game, Barcola discussed how he's adapting to life in England and how he feels his start at Liverpool has gone.

"I feel comfortable," he began. "At the beginning I had to adapt and now I feel that I'm adapting more and more. I'm very happy to start ahead and I hope to be even better on the pitch.

"It's very intense [in the Premier League]. It's very different from Ligue 1. You have to work hard to be ready for a lot of running and that's what I try to do in training, to be prepared for every match."

Barcola also touched on his experience working under Iraola so far. Of course, the Spaniard was appointed as Arne Slot's successor in the summer and is currently working to instill his style of play in the squad.

"I think he's a good coach," Barcola concluded. "He has very good ideas.

"He puts a lot of intensity, whether it's in training or in a match. I think it's very good to work like that so we can win all our matches."
