Games rarely come much bigger than Liverpool up against Manchester City in the past decade, but this weekend's clash may well top the lot for one key reason.

‌

While previous encounters have had the title on the line, this Sunday's encounter brings all that history to the surface once again, after Man City was found guilty by an independent panel of all but one of the charges the Premier League brought against it, making for a lively international break.

It seems almost fateful that, after years of battles, the first place that City should go is Anfield for a match against Liverpool. The home crowd is likely to be rowdy in a match that will have plenty of excited spectators watching to see who can run out as the winner from a game that will mean more than just three points.

So, with that said, here's a look at everything you need to know ahead of Liverpool vs Manchester City.

What time is kick-off?

Liverpool will play host to Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, October 11, with the match scheduled to kick off at 4:30 p.m. U.K. time (BST). For fans in the U.S., that's 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time and 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time.

Is the game on TV or livestream?

The match will be available to watch in the UK via Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, with a valid subscription required to access both channels. There will also be livestreams via the Sky Go app, as well as NowTV for paying customers.

As for US fans, the match will be available for viewing on Peacock, Telemundo, and NBC Sports, with all of the coverage from build-up to post-match reaction.

Liverpool faces a few injury problems heading into the match, with Iraola confirming that issues picked up by Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo during the international break would force them out of the squad to face Man City.

There is some positive news that Jeremy Jacquet is available after picking up a hamstring concern while he was with the France squad, while Federico Chiesa could make his return to action from a back injury. Giovanni Leoni may make a return from a long-term knee injury, but remains in doubt.

The duo of Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike are both eyeing returns later in the year, just before the festive fixture schedule ramps up.

As for Manchester City, Maresca will be without Phil Foden, as he serves the final match of his suspension for violent conduct during the Manchester derby.

Nico O'Reilly is a doubt after withdrawing from the England squad, with Maresca not offering an update on his condition. Antoine Semenyo is a slight concern after a knock to his ankle that forced him to miss the international break, though he did feature in training before the Liverpool match.

Erling Haaland left Man City fans sweating over his fitness, as he appeared to limp off during the final Norway match, but the head coach has confirmed he is available and was simply fatigued.
