**Man City boss Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Erling Haaland is fit and available for selection following an injury scare during the international break.**
The 26-year-old was seen limping off the pitch in Norway’s 2-1 defeat to Portugal last week, [**raising doubts about his fitness**](https://mancitynews.com/man-city-injury-news-erling-haaland-4/) heading into Sunday’s game against Liverpool.
However, speaking in his pre-match press conference, Maresca confirmed that Haaland has suffered no ill effects and he is in contention for upcoming fixtures:
“He’s good. He went to Marbella, had two or three days off, played golf. Had some recovery. He’s ready for Anfield. He’s good, the players are thinking: international teams, some days off and go again. He was good.”
Semenyo is also ready to return
-------------------------------
While Maresca was not asked about the fitness of Antoine Semenyo, the Ghanaian was pictured in training this week, which confirms that he has recovered from an ankle injury.
Semenyo was forced to withdraw from international duty after picking up the issue during the 5-3 win over Sunderland last month.
The availability of both Haaland and Semenyo will be a huge boost for Maresca. They have combined to score 9 of City’s 18 goals this season.
Other Man City injury news
--------------------------
There has been no update on the injury that Nico O’Reilly sustained whilst on England duty. The 21-year-old started the 3-2 defeat to Spain at Wembley, but he was forced to withdraw soon afterwards.
O’Reilly returned to his club to undergo further medical examinations, but Maresca was not asked about his fitness during his press conference, with other matters the focus of questions from attending journalists.
Josko Gvardiol has been selected to start at left-back ahead of O’Reilly in recent games, and the Croatian international will more than likely keep his place when the Cityzens face Liverpool at Anfield this weekend.
