But Anfield has long been an unhappy hunting ground for City, who are sure to feel the wrath of the home supporters, who feel wronged by what their long-term rivals have been found to have done.
And with big injury problems, in his frontline particularly, Liverpool head coach head coach Andoni Iraola and his players are going to do need the fans.
