Bradley Barcola has revealed that two Liverpool stars have helped him settle into life at Liverpool so far, as he looks to kick on and prove his quality for the team.

The 24-year-old signed for the Reds from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee worth up to roughly $166 million, a fee that reflects the quality he had shown for the Ligue Un club, as well as the potential he has to grow even further.

So far, Barcola has shown some signs of his quality, adding some pace to a frontline that has been severely lacking in speed to stretch the opposition defence vertically.

While the France international hasn't quite yet managed to string together a full performance that has made a difference for Liverpool, there is an understanding that an adaptation period is needed.

Barcola lacked a full pre-season when he moved to Merseyside, so it has taken him some time to get that fitness up to the required standard to where he can compete at the top level.

On top of that, there is the challenge of adjusting to a new league, for all of the similarities and differences that come from the switch from Ligue Un to the Premier League. There is also the task of learning the language, with the winger not being fluent in English before he made the transfer.

While all of that is going on, Barcola has discussed the players who are helping him settle as quickly as possible into life on Merseyside, as he looks to push on with Liverpool.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he was asked about his fellow countrymen Jeremy Jacquet and Hugo Ekitike, and said: "They recommend some good places for me to settle in. They gave me a very friendly welcome here, so everything is going well. I am happy."

There will be some hope that it can help Barcola hit the ground running at Liverpool, with the Reds relying on the star to have a say in some big games coming up.

With injuries to both Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak, who have both been involved in the majority of goals for Andoni Iraola's side this season, the team will certainly need the new winger to step up in their absence.

Matches against Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea over the next month would be a good place for the new recruit to start showing his quality with some output alongside it.

It remains to be seen whether he will do just that, but Iraola has backed him to show his class. Speaking ahead of the match against Man City, the manager said: "I don't think he's in a bad moment - the problem with wingers or strikers is if they don't score a goal, 'they haven't played well'.

"We have to see the games, we have to watch. I said it the first game against Atletico Madrid, he missed two or three quite clear chances. I don't care. Honestly. I care but I want him to see (it's) there. With the national team, I have seen he has had a couple of good situations to score; he hasn't scored, but I want him to be there."

The task for Barcola will be to continue getting into those areas and to put some of those opportunities away.
