A remarkable statistic, highlighting the efficiency of Barcelona summer signing Gabriel Jesus in front of goal, has come to the fore online. This comes after the Brazilian was on target for the latest occasion on Saturday.
Barcelona were of course back in action yesterday evening, welcoming Getafe to the Spotify Camp Nou for a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged on the right side of a comfortable 3-0 result, to keep alive their flawless opening to the campaign.
With Raphinha absent, the aforementioned Jesus was afforded a starting berth for the clash, his first in Barca’s famed red and blue stripes. The former Arsenal man responded with a fine goal, cutting onto his right foot before directing a clever finish inside the near post.
And as alluded to above, such exploits have since given rise to a head-turning statistic… As per a report from Opta:
‘Gabriel Jesus has scored three goals in five matches with FC Barcelona across all competitions, netting with each of his three shots on target.
‘He is the LaLiga player who has scored the most goals with 100% of his shots on target this season.’
> 3 – Gabriel Jesus ha marcado tres goles en cinco partidos con el FC Barcelona entre todas las competiciones, anotando con cada uno de sus tres remates a portería.🎯 Es el jugador de LaLiga que más goles ha marcado con el 100% de sus remates a puerta esta temporada.
