Brandin Podziemski has officially secured his long-term future in the Bay Area after inking a lucrative five-year, $110 million rookie-scale extension with the Golden State Warriors.
The substantial agreement locks down the young guard through the conclusion of the 2031-32 campaign, showcasing the franchise's belief in his ascending talent.
First reaction for Podziemski
Following the announcement, a grateful Podziemski didn't hold back his appreciation for the front office's confidence in his potential.
“I'm obviously super grateful for the situation I'm in. A lot of people contributed to my success,” Podziemski said.
“I'm grateful for this organization taking a leap with faith in me and wanting me here for the future.”
The massive payday comes on the heels of a stellar breakout campaign where Podziemski proved his durability and versatility. He was the lone player on Golden State's roster, and one of just 18 players league-wide, to log minutes in all 82 games during the 2025-26 regular season.
The former Santa Clara standout set new personal bests across the board, posting averages of 13.8 points, 5.1 boards, 3.7 assists, and over a steal per contest while maintaining efficient shooting metrics.
The franchise's leadership quickly championed the decision to lock him down. General manager Mike Dunleavy highlighted his reliability, describing him as a “durable, skilled, two-way player that makes our team better each time he takes the court.”
