Everton striker Thierno Barry had an eventful game against Hull City and after the game, David Moyes spoke about the Frenchman’s form at the moment.
Barry was on target at the MKM Stadium in the 2-2 draw with the Tigers, scoring his third Premier League goal of the campaign.
Everton had a great opportunity to take three points today, but poor defending saw Hull equalise through Mohamed Belloumi. It was probably a fair result, but Everton could certainly have put some daylight between the two sides.
And Thierno Barry had plenty of chances to score for the Toffees. In the end, he had to settle for just one – and after the game, Moyes gave his honest verdict on Barry after his mixed bag.

Barry was starting his eighth game of the season today against Hull, with Moyes relying on the Frenchman after the club failed to bring in reinforcements in the last transfer window.
So far, he has done quite well, with his goal today against Hull his sixth of the season.
But arguably, Barry could already be into double figures. He has now missed 10 big chances this season in the league (via Fotmob). Against Hull, he spurned several great opportunities before finally delivering a clinical finish after good work by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
He was a frustrating watch at times, and after the game Moyes shared his thoughts.
He said: “It’s a lot for us (six missed big chances as a team). I don’t think in the Premier League you get allowed to get eight, 10, 12 great chances. And when you do then I think you need to be more clinical. At the moment we’ve not been.
“But that’s not a full-on criticism of Thierno Barry, because he gets his goal. He’s keeping his ticker moving, keeping moving and getting his goal. So I’m pleased about that. But we’re going to have to do better to score the goals. I thought we could have crossed the ball more often, quicker, faster, and we didn’t do so in the first-half.
“One goes through his legs and you’re saying ‘Come on, it can’t happen’.
“I think it’s frustration from the manager. He’s frustrated with himself, you can tell from his body language. He’s so disappointed with himself that he’s not doing as well. But look, as I said, he’s still getting those goals, he’s just ticking it over. But he missed one or two in the first-half as well which could have helped us greatly.”
Dewsbury-Hall said after the game that Barry is one of the hardest-working players he’s ever played with, and this season his work-rate has been on show a lot more.
He has improved in a lot of aspects of his game, and the hope is that he can just start taking more of the chances he gets. It was good to hear Moyes acknowledging his goal today and the fact that he’s been amongst them, even though he’s missed chances.
He’s the only striker at the moment, so it’s important for Moyes to build him up when he can.
