Everton drew 2-2 away at Hull City on Sunday afternoon.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was the standout performer for Everton and was awarded the Man of the Match trophy.

Tyler Dibling impressed in his cameo and has certainly made a statement to David Moyes to start the next game.

Thierno Barry wasn’t so great on the other hand, despite netting Everton’s second goal. The Frenchman was very wasteful in front of goal and should’ve scored two or three.

With that said, Dewsbury-Hall admitted in his post-match interview that he has a ‘love-hate relationship’ with Barry.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Dewsbury-Hall explained that he demands so much of Barry and the Frenchman probably finds him quite irritating at times.

“I really like his mentality, he’s one of the hardest-working players (Barry) I’ve played with. He’s always working and trying to improve,” Dewsbury-Hall stated.

“We have a love-hate relationship because I expect so much of him and sometimes I’ll probably annoy him but he’s come back and he’s got really hungry and he’s improving every game.

“I like the fact he said he could’ve scored three because… look he’s scored today, he’s helped us get a point, but I know for a fact he’s going to continue to work and I’ll keep wanting more from him, but only because I like him and want the best for him… I’m happy he’s continuing to score.”

Barry needs to work on his heading ability, and if he can address that area of his game, Everton could have a prolific striker on their hands.

The 23-year-old has developed his finishing on the ground, and it’s clear he’s much more composed in front of goal.

It’s just his aerial ability which is letting him down at the moment, and it ultimately cost Everton the three points today.
