The Sacramento Kings are having problems with their roster health before the season has even started.

French center Maxime Raynaud was one of the rare bright spots in the squad last season, impressing in a rather bleak Kings squad.

How serious is Raynaud's injury?

Last night, in the preseason game against the Golden State Warriors, Raynaud suffered a knee injury, worrying Kings members and fans.

A public statement has been released regarding Raynaud's health, and the news is better than what it could have been when we talk about a knee injury.

Raynaud is expected to miss at least two weeks of action, with the season starting in just over a week.

"Sacramento Kings center Maxime Raynaud, who exited Saturday night's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors with 2:32 remaining in the second quarter, underwent an MRI of his right knee."

"Imaging revealed a right patellar subluxation. Raynaud will be reevaluated in approximately two weeks and further updates will be provided as appropriate," the statement says.

Frenchman's amazing rookie campaign

The 23-year-old French center had an amazing rookie year with the California-based franchise, averaging 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in over 26 minutes per game.

If he returns to the court right after the initial timetable, Raynaud is projected to return after the Kings' first two matches, away against the Los Angeles Clippers and at home against the Portland Trail Blazers.
