Mike Evans was brought to San Francisco in large part to help take down the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
On Sunday, he did just that, finishing with seven catches for 113 yards and one touchdown in the 49ers’ 32-29 victory over the Seahawks. However, it was an exchange with cornerback Trevon Diggs he had earlier in the game that had people talking.
After a play, Evans had to look at the back of Diggs’ jersey, implying he had no idea who he was.
The game between the two teams had everything. There were seven turnovers in the game, and 49ers linebacker Dru Greenlaw was ejected for headbutting a Seahawks player.
It is one of the biggest rivalries in all of football, and the troll job by Evans even had former Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman giving Evans respect:
> Mike Evans Checking to see the name on the back of the Jersey is an all-time Gif and trash talk moment that I wish I would have thought of.

Even though it is only Oct. 11, the game between the Seahawks and 49ers felt like an NFC Championship type of game. It was played at an elite level, and the hitting in the game felt more like a 1990’s game.
To beat those types of teams, you have to have guys who are going to be ready to compete against the best. Evans proved that he is one of those guys, and there will never be a situation where an opponent of his wonders who it is.
