Oh, what fun it is in the NFC South landfill.
The Panthers sit alone in first place at 2-2 after their bye in Week 5.
Tonight, the Falcons played prevent defense at home against the Ravens’ backup quarterback and gagged away an eight-point lead late in the fourth quarter. They lost 30-23 in overtime. And they lost their starting quarterback, Michael Penix, with a rib injury.
Earlier Sunday, the slimy Saints (1-4) were [horrible on offense](https://www.joebucsfan.com/2026/10/saints-lose-fall-to-1-4/) against the Vikings and lost 23-13 in New Orleans.
The Bucs sit at 1-4 and they’re sizzling hot after beating the Cowboys on _Thursday Night Football_. Because the Bucs do not have a division loss like the Saints do (they lost Atlanta), Tampa Bay is officially in third place in the division.
Fun times in the landfill.
