Arsenal are expected to be without Piero Hincapie for their Champions League match against Lille this week, but the defender is not the only player the Gunners could be missing as the season progresses. The potential absences could complicate their preparations for an important European fixture.
The men at the Emirates secured a valuable victory over Leeds United at the weekend. However, Arsenal appeared rusty following the return to club football and may have been fortunate to secure the win, with Leeds delivering a competitive performance.
Arsenal face further injury concerns
Hincapie’s injury was confirmed after the match against Leeds, leaving him expected to miss the upcoming Champions League encounter. According to Sports Mole, Martin Zubimendi has also suffered an injury problem and is expected to miss the match against the Ligue 1 side.
The potential absence of both players represents a concern for Arsenal as they prepare to face difficult opposition. The Gunners will need to assess their available options and ensure they can compete effectively despite these setbacks.
Maintaining consistency will be particularly important as the season progresses. Arsenal must manage their squad carefully while continuing to pursue their objectives in domestic and European competitions.

Gunners target Champions League success
Arsenal reached the Champions League final last season and will be determined to go one step further by winning the competition this campaign. Their ambitions mean that securing positive results throughout the tournament will be essential.
Lille will provide a stern test, and Arsenal cannot afford to underestimate their opponents. Although the potential absences of Zubimendi and Hincapie could create difficulties, the Gunners will still be aiming to secure victory and maintain their progress.
The team will need to demonstrate its strength and adaptability if both players are unavailable. Delivering a disciplined performance will be crucial to overcoming the French side and continuing their positive start to the campaign.
