Week 6 fantasy football PPR rankings: Parker Washington, Christian Watson soar

My Week 6 fantasy football PPR rankings put Josh Allen, Kenneth Walker III and Puka Nacua atop their positions, while Lamar Jackson’s ankle injury stands as the biggest unresolved question on the board heading into the week.

Allen visits a Raiders defense allowing 23.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, the fourth-most in the NFL. Walker returns from Kansas City’s bye after rushing for 177 yards and two touchdowns at Las Vegas, and Nacua draws an Arizona defense surrendering 32.5 points per game to receivers.

These rankings are an early draft. Monday night’s Bills-Rams game hasn’t been played, and practice reports will change the outlook throughout the week. Players listed here aren’t guaranteed to play. I’ll update the rankings before Thursday’s Seahawks-Broncos game and again before Sunday’s kickoffs, starting with the 9:30 a.m. ET Texans-Jaguars game in London.

The full positional rankings tables are at the end of the article.

Fantasy football Week 6 outlook

Week 5: Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson does a Lambeau Leap after scoring a touchdown against the Chicago Bears

Christian Watson and Parker Washington are the biggest risers on my board after Week 5. Watson caught 53- and 43-yard touchdowns in Green Bay’s 31-7 win over Chicago, and Washington scored twice on long passes in Jacksonville’s 19-17 win over Philadelphia, including a one-handed fourth-down catch for the go-ahead touchdown.

Cincinnati, Detroit, Miami and Minnesota are on bye, so Ja’Marr Chase, Jahmyr Gibbs and Justin Jefferson are off the board. Houston has allowed 33.7 fantasy points per game to receivers (second-most), which pushes Washington to WR2 for the London rematch of AFC South rivals.

Which quarterbacks climbed for Week 6?

Week 6 fantasy football PPR rankings

Allen holds QB1, but Buffalo still plays at Los Angeles on Monday night, and any injury news from that game will factor into the final ranking. Brock Purdy is QB2 against Washington, which has allowed 25.2 points per game to quarterbacks (second-most).

Jackson returns to my board at QB3 at Cleveland after missing Week 5. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Jackson has a chance to return against the Browns, pending how he responds to rehab. Tyler Huntley would start again if he can’t go after rallying Baltimore past Atlanta 30-23 in overtime.

Bryce Young comes off Carolina’s bye at QB6. His last outing produced 329 passing yards and two touchdowns in a 32-26 win over Detroit, and Philadelphia has allowed 19.9 points per game to quarterbacks.

Kirk Cousins jumps from QB20 to QB9 despite giving way to rookie Fernando Mendoza late in a 45-17 loss at New England. Buffalo has allowed 23.3 points per game to the position, fifth-most.

Drake Maye sits at QB8 after accounting for five touchdowns against the Raiders, though the Jets have allowed just 14 points per game to quarterbacks (second-fewest). Jayden Daniels is QB10 at San Francisco after running for 109 yards and two touchdowns in his return from an elbow dislocation.

Running back outlook for Week 6

NFL: Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders

Walker leads my running backs against the Chargers, who have allowed 20.3 fantasy points per game to backs. His Week 4 performance at Las Vegas earned him FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week honors, and Kansas City’s offense leans on him heavily after losing Tyquan Thornton to an ankle injury.

Javonte Williams climbs from RB13 to RB2 at Green Bay, which has allowed 26.4 points per game to running backs (second-most). Cam Skattebo moves from RB18 to RB7 against New Orleans, the most generous run defense in fantasy at 30.2 points per game, even after his overtime fumble against Washington.

Christian McCaffrey slides from RB6 to RB14 because Washington has allowed 14.2 points per game to backs, fourth-fewest. Jaylen Warren drops from RB9 to RB15 for the same reason. He piled up 188 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns against Indianapolis, but Tampa Bay has allowed only 14.7 points per game to the position.

Ashton Jeanty is RB8 against Buffalo, which has allowed 24.8 points per game to backs. Still, he’s playing through an ankle injury and plantar fasciitis, and Las Vegas ran for 38 yards against New England.

Saquon Barkley missed Week 5 with a hamstring injury, and Will Shipley left London with a foot injury, so Dameon Pierce sits at RB40 until Philadelphia’s practice reports clarify the backfield.

Who leads Week 6 wide receivers?

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles

Nacua holds WR1 against Arizona, which has allowed 32.5 fantasy points per game to receivers (fourth-most), and Davante Adams follows at WR13. Both rankings hinge on the Rams leaving Monday night healthy.

Washington jumps from WR12 to WR2, and Watson moves from WR14 to WR3 after his second game this season with 140-plus receiving yards and multiple touchdowns. Dallas has allowed 30.1 points per game to receivers. Zay Flowers rises to WR5 at Cleveland, assuming Jackson returns.

CeeDee Lamb holds at WR7 after leaving Thursday’s loss with a quad bruise. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones addressed Lamb and left tackle Tyler Guyton on Friday: “I think both CeeDee and Tyler will be all ready to go for Green Bay.”

Mike Evans climbs from WR23 to WR12 after catching seven passes for 113 yards and a touchdown at Seattle. Deebo Samuel Sr. left that game with a hamstring injury, and Washington has allowed 32.1 points per game to receivers.

Arizona traded Marvin Harrison Jr. to Houston, dropping him to WR53 behind Nico Collins. Michael Wilson sits at WR19 as the Cardinals’ top remaining receiver. Tre Tucker is my streaming pick at WR20 because Buffalo has allowed a league-high 34.4 points per game to receivers.

Tight end outlook for Week 6

NFL: San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks

George Kittle leads my tight ends against Washington, which has allowed 19.5 fantasy points per game to the position, second-most in the league.

Isaiah Likely jumps from TE6 to TE2 after a career-high 11 catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns against the Commanders. He ran most of his routes from the slot, and New Orleans has allowed 13.1 points per game to tight ends.

Dalton Kincaid is TE4 at Las Vegas, which has allowed 16.1 points per game to the position (sixth-most). Dallas Goedert makes the biggest leap, from TE27 to TE5, after a full week of practice before London and a Carolina matchup allowing 14 points per game to tight ends.

Trey McBride falls from TE1 to TE6. He caught nine passes for 66 yards and a touchdown against Detroit, but the Rams have allowed a league-low 5.1 points per game to tight ends. Harrison’s departure could still push more targets his way.

Pat Freiermuth is a streaming option at TE10 after scoring twice against Indianapolis, and Tampa Bay has allowed 12.7 points per game to tight ends.

Which kickers have the best matchups?

Spencer Shrader climbs from K7 to K1 after making five field goals at Pittsburgh. Tennessee has allowed 9.8 fantasy points per game to kickers, tied for the most in the NFL.

Tyler Loop is K2 at Cleveland, followed by Cam Little, who hit a 57-yard field goal as time expired to beat Philadelphia. Houston has allowed 9.2 points per game to kickers.

Chase McLaughlin is a streaming option at K8. Pittsburgh has also allowed 9.8 points per game to kickers, and Tampa Bay’s offense just put up a season-high 419 yards against Dallas.

DST outlook for Week 6

Pittsburgh leads my defenses at Tampa Bay, which has allowed 9.4 fantasy points per game to opposing defenses, the most in the NFL. Jalon Daniels played turnover-free football in a 24-16 win at Dallas, however, so the Steelers need sacks to deliver at that spot.

Denver is second against Seattle after Sam Darnold threw two interceptions and took five sacks against San Francisco. Kansas City follows against a Chargers offense that started four rookies on the offensive line in Week 5 and has allowed 9 points per game to defenses.

New England and the Giants round out my top five. New Orleans managed 142 total yards against Minnesota, and the Saints have allowed 7 points per game to opposing defenses.
