Andrews’ difficult afternoon began in the first quarter when he dropped a potential touchdown pass on third down near the goal line. The missed opportunity denied Baltimore a chance to capitalize on its scoring position, and forced them to settle for a field goal.
Things got worse later in the opening quarter when Andrews fumbled the ball, allowing Atlanta to recover it and return it for the Falcons’ first touchdown of the game.
His struggles continued into the third quarter, when he dropped a two-point conversion attempt. The missed conversion was another frustrating moment in a performance that saw the veteran tight end struggle to make routine plays.
By the final whistle, Andrews had recorded just four receptions for 28 yards. For a player who has established himself as one of Baltimore’s most important offensive weapons throughout his career, the outing was particularly disappointing.
Despite the mistakes, the Ravens managed to overcome the adversity and secure an overtime victory. The win improved Baltimore’s record to 4-1, keeping the team in a strong position early in the season.
Andrews looks to bounce back in Week 6
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (89) is tripped up by Indianapolis Colts safety Cam Bynum (0) on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, during a game against the Baltimore Ravens at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Following the game, Andrews took responsibility for his performance, acknowledging that he needed to improve.
“I have to be better,” Andrews said. “It is all about the details.”
The veteran tight end has spent his entire NFL career with Baltimore, becoming a key target in the Ravens’ passing attack. However, his production through the opening five weeks has been limited, with Andrews recording just one touchdown this season.
With the Ravens continuing to compete near the top of the standings, a return to form from Andrews could prove important as the season progresses.
Baltimore will now turn its attention to Week 6, when it travels to Cleveland to face the Browns, who enter the matchup with a 3-2 record. Andrews will have another opportunity to put his difficult performance behind him and help the Ravens extend their winning run.
