Faced with a barrage of abuse from Liverpool supporters, Iliman Ndiaye responded with a call of 'Up the Toffees' as he headed into the depths of Anfield following Manchester City's win over the Reds.
The former Everton winger joined the Premier League leaders in the summer and started in their 3-0 victory. While City eventually recorded an impressive result, they were hit by a torrent of abuse as they took to the field for the first time following being found guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules over a nine-year period.
The team were hit by calls of 'cheat', while Anfield was adorned with banners suggesting the same. Even as the players made their way off the pitch after full-time, they were hit by accusations.

Ndiaye looked to make his way back into the stadium to bask in City's victory, but could not help but poke his head back out towards Liverpool supporters to remind them of his affiliation with their cross-town rivals.
The ex-Everton ace was not the only player to react as Gianluigi Donnarumma furiously responded as he made his way off the field. The Italian shotstopper appeared to be angered after being called a cheat and he emerged from the tunnel to get embroiled in an intense exchange of words.
Donnarumma had to be pulled away from the altercation as City tasted the reaction they are likely to face from rival fans after the Independent Commission issued its guilty verdict. For their part, City have appealed the result and maintain their innocence.

Nevertheless, they are likely to receive a hostile welcome from around the Premier League. Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville believes there is stigma attached to the club.
"We're sat here not knowing what it means," Neville said. "City supporters will be delighted [with the win], but I don't think they recognise right now the stain, the stigma and the damage this is going to do to them.
"Liverpool fans are singing 'going down' they're shouting 'cheats' and you can't get away from that."
And former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher reckons any success will only intensify the opposition reaction. "In some ways, the feeling around Manchester City will only grow the more they win," he said.
"It will keep growing and growing around the country. We need a resolution as soon as possible. We're watching a game today, but what does it actually mean?"
