Chelsea full-back Malo Gusto could consider his future at Stamford Bridge, with the player wanting assurances over his role in the squad. The 23-year-old has seen his game time dwindle over the last few matches.

The Frenchman has started three of Chelsea’s six Premier League games so far this season. He came on as a late substitute in Saturday’s 5-1 win over Bournemouth.

‌

The return of midfielders Jordan Henderson, Moises Caicedo and right-backs Marco Palestra and Reece James from injury could see him fall down the pecking order. Sky Sports Switzerland reports that Gusto would 'like more assurances' about his role in the team, but his priority is to continue his development.

It's added that he is happy at Chelsea, but would consider a departure if the opportunity came to join a 'superior club', or if his role at Stamford Bridge changes.

Paris Saint-Germain are one of the clubs linked with an interest, with the French giants said to be interested in his versatility of playing at both full-back but also being able to fill in centrally. Chelsea are said to have demanded a fee of £75million back in the summer, with Bayern Munich, Juventus, Tottenham and PSG being reportedly contacted by the player’s agent to gauge interest.

It comes after reports that Brazilian forward Estevao is becoming frustrated at his lack of game time at Chelsea under Xabi Alonso. The 19-year-old has been restricted to appearances as a late substitute in all of his Premier League showings this campaign.

Speaking about the reports coming out of Brazil that he was unhappy, Alonso said: "No, Este is ready, he's training well.

"The other day he had a very good impact, he has a great chance. So he's fully involved and with a very good attitude every day."

When asked if he will have an important role to play this season, Alonso added: "Yeah, with Este, 100% because of his potential, because he's so young but he's in that process to adapt and to learn quick. And the season is going to be long.

"You know, private conversations, they should remain private. But the season is going to be long.

"And the players that they have the desire and the hunger to prove and to show every day that they are up for the challenge, it's what we want to create here in the building. And Este is part of it. So he has had a very good attitude, very good mentality to prepare every game and to be ready for the team."
