Steve Kerr revealed the Warriors' projected opening-night starting lineup against the Lakers, featuring Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Meanwhile, Golden State continues to navigate injuries, with Kristaps Porzingis scheduled to undergo medical evaluations on October 13 following an indefinite absence.
The Golden State Warriors are preparing for the start of the season, where they will face the Los Angeles Lakers on opening night.
Head coach Steve Kerr provided the starting lineup that he is leaning towards for that game with Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Gui Santos, Yaxel Lendeborg and Draymond Green.
Kerr also highlighted that it is better for the team if Al Horford stays off the bench alternating between him and Green on the court to anchor their defense.
The Warriors are also missing key players, who could enter the starting lineup, due to injury, like Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody, who are recovering from major injuries from last season, while Kristaps Porzingis is still not ready to make a comeback from a mysterious illness.

Kerr has revealed that Porzingis will arrive to Chase Center on October 13, where he will meet with Golden State's director of sports medicine, Rick Celebrini and the medical staff to evaluate his current condition.
Kerr still wasn't able to detail what the Latvian center is suffering from or where he has been, but emphasized that decisions about his possible return will be made after the medical tests.
Porzingis has been away from the team since late September, when Golden State announced that he would be out indefinitely. He missed the team's training camp in Hawaii and their preseason games since then.
