Harrison Armstrong is enjoying his breakout season for Everton.
Everton coaches have known how special Harrison Armstrong is for years, and after loan spells at Derby and Preston, we are now seeing his level in the Toffees first-team.
Armstrong has been one of the standout performers this season, and he’s made a mockery of the Friedkin Group’s initial decision to sell him for £40m to Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window.
Thankfully, fans managed to pull the plug on that deal as they made their voices heard, and now they are reaping the rewards.
Premier League fans who watched Everton’s 2-2 draw with Hull City on the weekend reacted to Armstrong’s performance, and they were full of praise for the 19-year-old.
Premier League fans blown away by how good Harrison Armstrong is
Premier League fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to heap praise on Armstrong after the Hull game.
One compared him to Elliot Anderson, who has joined Manchester City in a £116m deal in the summer, whilst another said he’ll be an England international soon.
“One key takeaway from the Hull – Everton game for me today is that Harrison Armstrong is going to be a regular England player very soon; what a talent.”
“Harrison Armstrong is the new Elliot Anderson.”
“Harrison Armstrong is light years ahead of everyone on the pitch; the kid is a superstar in the making.”
“Harrison Armstrong is a really good footballer.”
“Harrison Armstrong is mustard.”
“I’m convinced Harrison Armstrong will be at a big 6 club in the Premier League in the next 12 months. His defensive reading of play, dribbling, passing ability, as well as timing to find good space to break loose, is massively important to Everton. He is a fantastic player.”
Sean Dyche recently spoke about Armstrong in the media, and he tipped his former Toffee to become a ‘top player’.
The 2007-born made his debut for England’s under-21s this month, and it feels inevitable that he’ll be representing the senior team one day.
