Former Carlisle United favourite George Oghani was back at Brunton Park as the Blues' special guest on Saturday.

The 1990s goalscorer received a warm welcome from fans as he was introduced to the crowd during the 0-0 draw with Kidderminster Harriers.

Oghani, who played for the Blues from 1992 to 1994, carried out the half-time draw.

The 66-year-old also rolled back the years by having a crack at the club's Big Shot challenge during the interval.

It saw the striker back at the ground where he became a popular player in the early 1990s.

The experienced former Bolton Wanderers and Burnley favourite Oghani joined Carlisle in 1992 after a spell in Cyprus with Paphos.

He was a regular goalscoring figure in the Cumbrians attack under managers Aidan McCaffery and David McCreery in the 1992/93 season.

Oghani plundered 15 league goals and one League Cup strike that season - United's first campaign under Michael Knighton's ownership.
