Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta
Mikel Arteta has defended Arsenal’s training standards after Martin Zubimendi and Piero Hincapie both suffered ankle injuries in a post-match session.
The pair picked up the problems while training after Arsenal’s win over Leeds, with Arteta insisting he would rather his players work at full intensity and risk injury than lower their standards.
“If you want to be consistent, no,” Arteta said when asked whether the injuries would make him reconsider the approach.
