The Buffalo Bills are in Inglewood, CA this evening to take on the Los Angeles Rams while closing out the action in Week 5 with Monday Night Football. In what felt like a game that would never arrive, it’s finally time, Rumblers.
Quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills must have put their Week 4 dud in the past if they hope to win what could become another shootout with the Rams at SoFi Stadium. Those that claim things state that SoFi is “Rams House,” but that shouldn’t cause head coach Joe Brady and company to shudder.
Buffalo has a similar base of firepower to play match-set-point with Los Angeles this evening, and you can bet the last two NFL MVPs in Allen and Matthew Stafford will have their say about what’s in store for the evening’s winner and loser.
Each team brings a defense to the field that might best be termed an “incomplete” after the first month. They both give up yards and points. Buffalo will have to adjust plans if the injury bug continues to plague its defensive backfield. That could mean significant starting snaps at nickel cornerback for safety Damar Hamlin or someone else — perhaps newly called-up cornerback Anthony Kendall.
Despite the challenges that await the Bills this evening, there aren’t many other teams as well-poised to take down the mighty Rams en route to their dream matchup as a true home team in Super Bowl LXI.
Tonight serves as a litmus test, Bills Mafia. A loss doesn’t doom either team’s season, but could become a key point of reference during playoff season. Will Buffalo improve to 4-1 and maintain its lead in the AFC East, or will Los Angeles hand them another crushing early season blow in their playoff bid? We’ll find out in due time.
With that, here’s your open thread for all of tonight’s action during Bills at Rams for Monday Night Football. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills!
