Former Colts center Jeff Saturday shares his favorite memory from Super Bowl Xli

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The 2027 Super Bowl (Super Bowl LXI) will air on our second station WRTV. The Big Game is scheduled for February 14.

Former Colts center Jeff Saturday reflected on his favorite memory from when the Colts won Super Bowl XLI.

“I would say my favorite memory was post game,” Saturday said. “All my family, my wife Karen, her parents, my parents, my kids, all jumping over the wall to get on the field. Obviously it’s pouring down rain. Confetti’s falling. Everybody is so fired up and excited about hoisting the trophy. The Lombardi trophy is making its way around. Guys were grabbing it and all those kinds of things and then here’s my oldest son, Jeffrey, and he’s running up to me and comes and grabs me and says ‘Dad, dad, guess what, guess what.’ In my mind and my wife’s mind we’re both thinking dad won the Super Bowl, how cool is this? And he goes, ‘Dad, dad look, they gave me a Xbox game.’ And I just remember Karen and I dying laughing going, ‘We don’t even own an Xbox.’ He was six, right, like we didn’t even own a Xbox. Just the laughter that we shared after that moment, realizing the perspective of a 6-year-old and my daughter Savannah was 4 at the moment. Josh had just been born. He wasn’t at the game. All my parents and her parents, we’re all dying laughing. At the pinnacle of winning it all and here’s a 6-year-old to make sure you remember perspective, so that’s probably my greatest memory.”

Saturday played 13 seasons with the Colts and was a five-time Pro Bowler in his time in Indianapolis.
