The Los Angeles Rams brought back Aaron Donald, hoping to create a scary pass rush with Myles Garrett. So far, the future Hall of Fame defensive end has not recorded a sack. This nearly changed on Monday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills.
Donald got to quarterback Josh Allen and brought him down for a sack. However, the sack was negated by a defensive penalty. The Rams were called for illegal contact up the field. This gave Allen and the Bills an automatic first down.

Overall, the Rams defense has mostly held firm against Allen and the Bills. Buffalo does have a 6-0 lead on the strength of two field goals. However, Allen has just seven passing yards in this contest. Buffalo's offense has not made a significant impact as a unit to this point.
Donald has still not recorded a sack in this contest. He has not made a significant impact overall this season. The 38-year-old has struggled with injuries, having played just two games entering Monday night football. He has four total tackles in those contests.
The Rams have also been without Garrett for much of the season. Garrett suffered an injury in Los Angeles's Week 1 clash with the San Francisco 49ers in Australia. He is on injured reserve and has not played a game since Week 1.
The Rams are gunning for a Super Bowl in 2026. They have pushed their chips to the middle of the table. Getting Donald back up to speed will be a big help. Perhaps he can get that first sack of the season in this Monday night contest against the Bills.
