Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love orchestrated the best performance of his career as the team's starter, lighting up the Chicago Bears in Sunday's 31-7 win at Lambeau Field with eye-popping passing numbers and putting himself in the conversation among the NFL's elite deep-ball throwers.

Love completed 25 of 31 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns without throwing an interception. With an 80.6% completion percentage, 11.8 yards per attempt and a 137.5 passer rating, he demonstrated outstanding efficiency while setting a career high in passer rating as a starter. His ESPN QBR of 94.0 was the third-best of his career and ranked fourth among quarterbacks during the 2026 season.

The 27-year-old connected on 6 of 8 deep passes of at least 20 yards through the air, finishing with a career-high 258 yards that ranks second in the Next Gen Stats era, behind only Russell Wilson's 264-yard performance in Week 2 of the 2025 season.

Love also earned a 94.5 PFF passing grade, the highest among quarterbacks evaluated through Week 5. Moreover, his six big-time throws broke his previous single-game record of five, which he set in Week 10 of 2023.

Love's biggest improvement came on deep passes, an area that had troubled him through Green Bay's opening four games. Before facing Chicago, he had completed just four of 18 attempts traveling at least 20 yards downfield for 144 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. His passing grade on those throws stood at 41.0, with four turnover-worthy plays against two big-time throws.

Against the Bears, Love completed six of eight deep attempts for 258 yards and two touchdowns, earning a 99.9 PFF grade in that category without committing a turnover-worthy play. His deep completions accounted for 70.3% of his total passing yardage. He also connected on five of six attempts traveling at least 30 yards downfield for 227 yards and both touchdowns.

The performance helped transform Green Bay's passing efficiency. After averaging 0.057 expected points added per pass play through its first four games, the offense recorded 0.471 versus Chicago. Love also posted a season-best completion percentage over expected of +14.5%, while his 90.0% adjusted completion rate tied for the highest among qualifying quarterbacks in Week 5.

Love's 367 passing yards ranked second among qualifying quarterbacks that week, while his six big-time throws led the field. He also became the second quarterback in Packers history, after Aaron Rodgers, to complete at least 80% of his passes for more than 350 yards and at least two touchdowns without an interception in one game.

After getting off to a slow start with passing grades below 55.0 in each of his first three games, Love got back on track with a 78.2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4 before taking things up a notch versus the Bears, spearheading the team's passing display of the season.
