Harrison Mevis had another chance to be the hero for the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, with the home crowd at SoFi Stadium cheering him on. He, however, failed to capitalize on the big moment.
Mevis' attempt from 47 yards in overtime was blocked by Greg Rousseau. In contrast, Tyler Bass converted his kick from 43 yards in the ensuing possession, giving the Bills the nail-biting win, 37-34.
The 24-year-old Mevis was dejected over his critical blunder, but he refused to dwell on it.
“Go back to work and find ways to fix it. Next-play mentality, right?” said the third-year kicker in the video posted by The Sporting Tribune.
“I felt like I hit it good. That's all I can tell you. I hit it good, gave it a chance, but I have to look (at it again). They (Bills) have a good rush.”

He finished 0-of-2 against the Bills.
Mevis, who went undrafted out of Missouri in 2024, has saved the Rams in the past, most notably in the divisional round of the playoffs in January. He kicked the game-winning field goal from 42 yards in overtime to lift Los Angeles past the Chicago Bears and advance to the NFC Championship Game.
The last-second loss to the Bills spoiled the prolific numbers of Matthew Stafford, Davante Adams, and Puka Nacua.
The Rams fell to 2-3, including 1-2 at home. They are under .500 after five games for the fourth time in five seasons.
They will try to bounce back when they host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6.
