Arsenal Injury News And Return Dates: Updates On Piero Hincapie, Martin Zubimendi & 2 Others

**Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie picked up an ankle injury AFTER the 2-1 win over Leeds United at the weekend.**

The Ecuadorian international was taking part in the warm-down when the incident occurred.

Hincapie was pictured being carried off the pitch by teammate Kepa Arrizabalaga.

No timeframe has been given for the centre-back’s return to action, but it is unlikely that he will face Lille.

**Expected Return Date – Unknown**

Martin Zubimendi

----------------

In the SAME warm-down, it is believed that the midfielder also picked up a knock, which makes him a doubt to play against Lille.

Zubimendi’s issue may well be more minor than Hincapie’s, and manager Mikel Arteta will likely be asked about it in his pre-match press conference prior to the Champions League clash.

**Expected Return Date – Unknown**

Christos Tzolis

---------------

The winger sustained a major hamstring injury whilst playing for Greece during the international break.

Speaking before the victory against Leeds, manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that Tzolis will be out for a while:

“Tzolis has a muscle injury, and he’s going to be out for a few weeks. He’s not available yet.”

Arteta generally gives vague timescales when giving [**injury updates**](https://goonernews.com/blog/arsenal-injury-news-kai-havertz-8/), and a “few weeks” could mean 3 weeks or 3 months. We shall have to wait and see.

**Expected Return Date – October to December**

William Saliba

--------------

The centre-back is back in rehabilitation as he begins his recovery from the back injury which has kept him out of action for 3 months so far.

Saliba is reportedly running outside, but he is still some way from returning to full training. He is hoping to be back by the end of next month, but there can be complications with the nature of his injury, so the club’s medical team will be keeping a very close eye on his progress.

**Expected Return Date – November to December**
