Ifeanyi Ndukwe experienced the full range of emotions that come with playing senior soccer, as the Liverpool loanee had a crucial part to play in Levante's clash with Sevilla.

The 18-year-old defender made his third appearance for the Spanish outfit, starting at the back in a La Liga clash that had plenty of drama in it.

It all started with a far from ideal contribution from Ndukwe himself, as he gave away the ball to Robbie Ure, who pounced on the error to give the away side a lead after just 13 minutes of action. Felix Correia then doubled the visitors' lead, before Ivan Romero pegged a goal back just before the hour mark, setting up a thrilling end to the match.

It wasn't until stoppage time that things really kicked into gear. Adrian de la Fuente equalized for Levante, before Isaac Romero appeared to win the match again for Sevilla. A red card then followed for the goalscorer, which may have been costly, as Ndukwe arrived in the 100th minute to find the back of the net and tie the game up at 3-3.

It was a topsy-turvy encounter that seemed to sum up exactly what senior appearances could be like for the Liverpool loanee, who is certainly learning plenty in the early stages of his career.

There will be plenty to take from his recent outing, with a moment that could have cost his team the game being balanced out by a late goal to save a point.

The Spanish media has since given a clear verdict on the star's display, with Superdeporte giving the Liverpool loanee a five out of ten rating overall.

The review was critical of several areas, despite the goal he scored, as it claimed: "Plenty of drive and intent, but their confidence crumbled at 0-1. The Austrian defender made a serious error, gifting the ball to Robbie Ure completely unmarked, who made no mistake, giving the Nervión side the lead.

"Far from redeeming himself and making amends for his mistake, he displayed insecurity and a lack of understanding with his teammates, even letting Fofana through in a move that could have resulted in Sevilla's second goal.

"However, football is full of twists and turns that can change the momentum in a matter of seconds, and that's where Ndukwe appeared with the decisive equalizer after recovering from the sock of Isaac Romero's goal that made it 2-3."

Plaza Deportiva also gave Ndukwe a five out of ten score, and said: "Hero and villain. He made an unforgivable mistake that cost the 0-1 and rescued a point in stoppage time with the 3-3."

It is perhaps something of a reality check surrounding Ndukwe, who had been tipped to feature for Liverpool after an impressive pre-season, following an impressive rise at such an early age.

While he could return to Merseyside in January, when he will be eligible for a UK work permit, it's clear that there is still a learning curve for the youngster to go on within the senior game.
