Cardinals Refused Marvin Harrison Jr.’S $50,000 Request Before Trading Him To Texans: Report 1
The Arizona Cardinals traded Marvin Harrison Jr. and a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Houston Texans. In return, the Cardinals received a second-round and a sixth-round pick for 2027 in a blockbuster move on Sunday right after the Texans beat the Titans. This comes amid the wide receiver’s request for a $50,000 machine, which was reportedly denied by the franchise.

Cardinals Denied Marvin Harrison Jr.’s $50,000 Demand
Daily Mail reports that tensions rose when the Arizona front office wouldn’t buy the advanced robotic machine he used at Ohio State. According to Cardinals reporter Theo Mackie, Harrison Jr. asked the team to buy the machine called the Monarc Seeker, which the wide receiver used back at Ohio State.
The franchise reportedly refused because of the price, so Harrison bought it himself. Allegedly, this disagreement caused tension and eventually led to him being traded. On Sunday, Mackie tweeted, “When Marvin Harrison Jr. arrived in Arizona, he had one request: A Seeker machine, which runs $50k. The organization declined.”

Harrison Jr. hasn’t publicly commented on the matter yet, since the trade to the Texans was finalized on Monday. So far, the only official statements have come from the front office, with general manager Monti Ossenfort stating, “Decisions like this are never easy. Ultimately, we have to do what is best for our football team, and that will always be the driving factor. We are extremely grateful to Marvin for what he has contributed to our organization and wish him the very best as he moves forward in his career.”
Following a cleared physical on Monday and a transition into the team facility, Harrison Jr. is projected to make his debut and start for the Texans (1-4) against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6.
