“Literally robot answers,” one reacted.
“Painful to watch,” a fan wrote on X.
“Total fraud,” one fan commented.
“Herbert is Cooked,” another reacted.
“You could just replay the conference from the last 4 weeks.. They are all the same.. How does the guy have no emotion? It’s odd,” a fan commented.
Despite Harbaugh taking ownership of the risky fourth-down decision, Herbert held himself accountable for the failed quarterback sneak. “Yeah, I got to get a yard,” Herbert said, addressing the media. “Got to find a way to get a yard, and I didn’t do that. I think it’s on me to go get a yard. We got to be able to push and get a yard, and I have complete faith in our guys and in myself, and it’s on us to go get a yard and convert.”
The defeat comes in a five-game stretch during which Herbert has recorded a turnover in each outing, matching a career high. Moving forward, he must clean up his play, saying, “Yep. Just can’t turn the ball over, and you can’t expect to win games and turn the ball over. So, got to do a better job there… we’re going to watch the film on this one. See where we went wrong, what we can do better. And take it from there”
Herbert also confirmed that he is “physically good” following a second sack. A challenging schedule awaits the Chargers with upcoming games against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Rams.
