The second-year defensive back finished with seven total tackles (five solo) and recovered a fumble that he returned for a touchdown. Despite the Saints falling to 1-4 with their third consecutive home loss, Sanker delivered a productive performance.
New Orleans has struggled to find consistency throughout its first five games, but Sanker’s ability to contribute in the slot and make a plays on the football gives the defense a positive to build on.
With the Saints searching for answers after another disappointing result, performances from young players like Sanker are worth watching as the season continues.
