The Dallas Cowboys are still reeling from a shocking 24-16 loss at home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who were forced to start rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels in place of an injured Baker Mayfield, on Thursday night.
Cowboys owner and general manager Jones admitted to reporters after the game that the loss was “extraordinarily, extraordinarily disappointing.” Still, even with his team sitting at 2-3 on the year, Jones, 84, isn’t letting the way Dallas’ season has gone thus far stop him from contributing to causes that matter to him.
Jones is an Arkansas native, and on Monday, he appeared at the Little Rock Touchdown Club alongside David Bazzel and former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Bazzel had the honor of announcing that the Jones family had given a $10 million gift to the Clinton Foundation.

Per the Clinton Foundation’s website, the $10 million donation will be used to “support the modernization and renovation of the Clinton Presidential Center.”
“It’s wonderful to be able to make this contribution to, if you will — in ball, you talk about, you get past the first quarter, second quarter, then when the third quarter and fourth quarter comes, you’ve got to refresh up and get going and get another punch so you can finish the game,” Jones said of the gift.

We want to give that money today to lead the way and hopefully others will follow.”
Inside Arkansas’ John Nabors and reportedly even attendees to Monday’s event were shocked that Jones wasn’t announcing an NIL donation to the Arkansas Razorbacks football program. However, NFL owners and team personnel are strictly prohibited from making NIL contributions. Still, Jones found a way to give back to his home state that Clinton made clear is greatly appreciated.
“I’m grateful that it is now my responsibility to hand along all these things we’re doing on to the next generation in good shape, and make room for further growth,” Clinton said. “But I couldn’t do it without help, and I am more grateful than you know. You’re a good man.”
