The Italian coach and his Manchester City squad, who are yet to lose or draw a game across competitions this season, continue their UEFA Champions League campaign with a clash against the back-to-back winners of the tournament.

Having dismissed of Portuguese champions FC Porto on matchday one away from home, a new challenge awaits City in European competition with a clash against Luis Enrique's Paris Saint-Germain at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City will no doubt be buoyant after their weekend victory, shutting out the noise and hostile atmosphere of Anfield post-Premier League verdict to come away with three points and a 0-3 win against Andoni Iraola's Liverpool side.

Erling Haaland opened the scoring, followed by a sensational solo goal from Jeremy Doku, and rounded off by a collective effort from Manchester City as a excellent fast-paced passing move resulted in Rayan Cherki slotting beneath Alisson.

Now, as Pep Guardiola plots his route to the Etihad Stadium to watch on from the stands for the first time since leaving a decade of legendary success in the summer, Manchester City have completed their final training ground preparations at the City Football Academy.

Who was missing from Man City training on Tuesday?

After very few significant problems in the injury and fitness department so far this season, that trend has certainly continued for Enzo Maresca heading into his latest challenge as Manchester City boss this week.

The open section of training featured a fully-fit senior Manchester City squad, with only a trio of younger names absent from the session: Kaden Braithwaite, Floyd Samba, and Ryan McAidoo.

All three of those aforementioned names are likely to momentarily drop back down into the youth set-up at Manchester City this week, as the team's Under-19 side take on Paris Saint-Germain at the Joie Stadium in the UEFA Youth League.

As for the senior side, all of the players in training on Tuesday afternoon are now expected to be named in the matchday squad for the clash against PSG on Wednesday night, with the exception of young goalkeeper Jack Wint.

The 20-year-old appears to be returning to Manchester City often for senior training at the City Football Academy, despite being formally on-loan at National League side Kidderminster Harriers for the 2026/27 season.
