Liverpool began their Champions League league-phase campaign with a 2-1 comeback win over Atletico Madrid at Anfield on September 9.
Marcos Llorente gave the visitors the lead in the 17th minute.
Dominik Szoboszlai equalised shortly before half-time, and Alexis Mac Allister scored the winner five minutes after the restart. The result gave Andoni Iraola a victory in his first Champions League match as a Liverpool manager.
The Reds now begin matchday two with a trip to Austria, where they face LASK on Wednesday.
Liverpool left John Lennon Airport on Tuesday lunchtime, with Iraola naming a 23-man squad for the trip.
The travelling party is: Alisson, Gomez, Van Dijk, Jacquet, Kerkez, Wirtz, Mac Allister, Tsimikas, Munoz, Mamardashvili, Woodman, Barcola, Frimpong, Araujo, Gravenberch, Nyoni, Chambers, McConnell, Koumas, Ngumoha, Danns, Sonni-Lambie and Lucky.
Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Szoboszlai are not in the group.
All three missed Sunday’s 3-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City. They picked up their injuries during the international break.
Iraola said afterwards it would be “difficult” to recover any of his injured players for this game.
Before the City match, Iraola said Isak had a thigh injury and Gakpo an ankle injury. He said Szoboszlai had a tight hamstring and was not fully fit despite trying to train.
Lewis Koumas, who made his first Premier League start against City, is also in the squad.
Federico Chiesa and Wataru Endo are absent because neither was included in Liverpool’s 25-man Champions League squad for the league phase.
Upon arrival in Linz, Iraola and a member of the squad will attend a press conference. Liverpool will then train at the Raiffeisen Arena.
The clubs last met in the 2023/24 Europa League group stage. Liverpool won 3-1 in Linz and 4-0 at Anfield. After LASK, Liverpool return to Anfield to host Villarreal on Tuesday, October 20.
