The Eagles won’t issue their injury designations for Week 6 until Friday, but defensive coordinator Vic Fangio all but ruled one member of the defense out on Tuesday.
Linebacker Jalyx Hunt left last Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars with knee and ankle injuries. Fangio said at his weekly press conference, via multiple reporters, that it would be “miraculous” if Hunt is able to play against the Panthers in Week 6.
Hunt had three tackles and a pass defensed against Jacksonville. He has 15 tackles, a tackle for loss and four quarterback hits on the season.
The Eagles played without Jonathan Greenard in Week 5 due to an ankle injury, so they were down to Nolan Smith, Arnold Ebiketie, and A.J. Epenesa on the edge after Hunt’s injury.
