Zeke Masses loses playing time, will he rebound in Week 6?

Here is a look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2026 draft class (eight of the 10 picks are on the 53-man roster) fared in a [45-17 loss at the New England Patriots](/las-vegas-raiders-game-information/141479/las-vegas-raiders-new-england-patriots-live-updates) on Sunday and what to look for Sunday at home against the Buffalo Bills.

**Fernando Mendoza:**

The No. 1 overall pick made his NFL regular-season debut and he played the Raiders’ final 10 offensive snaps in a mop-up role in a lopsided loss. Coach Klint Kubiak praised Mendoza for the speed of his play. He completed six of eight passes for 48 yards and showed solid mobility.

The Raiders’ second-round pick played all 75 defensive snaps. The Raiders’ entire secondary struggled and Stukes was no exemption. At times, it looked like the Patriots were picking on the rookie. It will be interesting to see if Josh Allen and the Bills try to target Stukes as well.

The third-round pick was inactive with a knee issue. It’s unknown if he will be ready to play Sunday.

The fourth-round pick played 12 snaps on defense, his second defensive action this season. Perhaps that trend will continue in the coming weeks against the pass-happy Bills and Rams. He also played 13 snaps on special teams.

The fourth-round pick played a season-low 5 offensive snaps a week after playing a season-high 18 snaps. he had one carry and get less playing time than third-string running back Dylan Laube. Kubiak said he needs to do a better job of getting Washington involved. Let’s see if that’s the case Sunday.

The fifth-round pick safety was inactive for the fourth team in five games after he was active in Week 4.

The fifth-round pick played just 33 percent of the defensive snaps and appeared to lose his starting role to Darien Porter, who masses beat out earlier in the season. Masses has been experiiencing growing pains the past three games after winning the AFC Defensive Player of the Week award in Week 2. We’ll see if he can earn more playing time againdt the Bills.

The sixth-round pick played a season high 16 offensive snaps because of injuries at wide receiver. He had one catch for six yards on four targets. The training camp star has two catches for 12 yards on eight targets this season.
