Julius Randle opened up about the special treatment and experience he has received so far with the Brooklyn Nets.
In a story by New York Post reporter Brian Lewis, Randle appeared to take a subtle jab at the Minnesota Timberwolves while discussing his time in Brooklyn.
"When you're somewhere where you're really wanted, and you have that validation with an organization really appreciating you and what you bring to the table, it's an incredible feeling," Randle said.
Julius Randle seeks better beginnings with Nets after Timberwolves sting
The Brooklyn Nets acquired Julius Randle from the Minnesota Timberwolves in a massive four-team trade that also included the Chicago Bulls and the Charlotte Hornets this past offseason.
As part of the deal, Minnesota also had to surrender Naz Reid to land Hornets star LaMelo Ball.
Randle joined the Timberwolves in 2024 after the New York Knicks traded him in a blockbuster deal centered around Karl-Anthony Towns.
The star forward subsequently helped the Wolves reach the 2025 Western Conference Finals. But in the past NBA Playoffs, he struggled significantly as Minnesota got eliminated in six games of the second round by the San Antonio Spurs.
Throughout 12 postseason games, he averaged just 16.0 points on 39% shooting.
Leading a youthful Brooklyn team, Randle will face the Timberwolves for the first time as a Net on Nov. 23 in Minneapolis.
