Burnley boss Nicky Hayen has explained why both Dastan Satpayev and Zeki Amdouni were absent in their 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night, and the Chelsea loanee's reason, especially, has Clarets fans frustrated.
Burnley were unable to make it two wins from two in the space of a week, as they were forced to share the points against Charlton at Turf Moor thanks to a 96th-minute equaliser from Ivan Mesik.
It means that the Clarets have now failed to win their last 20 home league games, with Sunday marking one year since they last came away with three points at Turf Moor against Leeds United in the Premier League.
However, while the result provided a big cause for concern, the anger has only been stoked by the reasons why both Satpayev and Amdouni were absent.

Speaking after the game, Burnley head coach Nicky Hayen delivered some bad news on Amdouni's part, and some confusing news regarding Satpayev's availability.

The Swiss frontman, who had scored in three of his last four games, will be missing for the next month or so with an ankle injury, while Satpayev wasn't permitted to play on Wednesday night by parent club Chelsea.
Satpayev's situation is very unforeseen, as it's often the case that loan deals have clauses in which the side loaning the player in has to play them, not the other way around. It's safe to say it's caused some reaction amongst the Burnley fanbase online.
"What contract have we signed with Chelsea where they can dictate whether we pick someone to play!!," one angry fan tweeted, while another stated, "literally having Chelsea call the shots on a loan is madness." A third questioned, "What's the point having a player on loan if he can't play?"
With the strangeness surrounding the Satpayev situation, the fact that Amdouni is set to miss the next four to six weeks has almost gone under the radar. Arguably, that situation is more of a concern for the short-term future of the club.
Some fans have reacted to that, though, one stating, "Only Burnley’s only goalscorer could get a slight ankle tweak then be out for 6 weeks 😂😭," while a fan account tweeted, "That is absolutely devastating about Zeki. Just when he was hitting form."
Burnley fans' concerns will grow if Dastan Satpayev is not in the squad for Friday's clash with Wolves

Ultimately, some Burnley fans are seeing things from Chelsea's perspective regarding Satpayev's availability. The Kazakhstan international has just come back from a month out with a hamstring injury, and the Clarets face three games in six days this week.
Nicky Hayen's side are back in action at Turf Moor on Friday night as they welcome Wolves in what is their last chance to secure a home league win before the calendar ticks past a whole year since that Leeds triumph.
Even with Wolves coming off back-to-back defeats following the international break, it won't be an easy task to take all three points, and the Clarets will need all the firepower they can get if they are to bounce back from the late draw on Tuesday night.
Having the exciting 18-year-old back in the side for that meeting with the Old Gold will help them towards that, and the hope will be that he will, after being unpermitted to play their midweek game against Charlton.
Zeki Amdouni injury news is terrible for Burnley

The timing of the Amdouni injury, though, is simply devastating. The Swiss international had started to finally find his groove at Turf Moor in the last few games, and now he's been dealt another setback.
The 25-year-old has had a real turbulent time in East Lancashire, having spent their last Championship campaign out on loan and then only making four appearances last year after suffering an ACL rupture in pre-season.
Nicky Hayen would have hoped that he was the Burnley boss to finally uncover Amdouni's best football and showcase why he's one of Switzerland's most important players, but now he faces over a month on the sidelines.
It's another case of terrible luck affecting the Clarets boss, who has edged closer to the trapdoor once again, after feeling the pressure ease just last Saturday.
