Nicky Hayen says Chelsea wouldn’t allow Dastan Satpayev to play

Nicky Hayen has made the bombshell revelation that Chelsea stopped Dastan Satpayev from playing for Burnley against Charlton Athletic last night.
The loanee made his return from injury for the Clarets at the weekend, getting 20 minutes off the bench during the 4-0 win over Watford.
It was the forward’s first appearance for Burnley since the 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough at the start of September.
The Clarets would have wanted the Kazakhstan international to be available again for the visit of the Addicks, as Hayen’s side hunted the club’s first home league win in almost a year.
But the 18-year-old was left out of Burnley’s match day squad, not even featuring on the bench, at the behest of his parent club.
“No, we were not allowed with Chelsea,” Hayen said.
“So Chelsea didn't allow him to play because he had a big injury and they were managing the load together with our medical team, but they told us that he couldn't play today.
“He was out for a long time. He's still in Chelsea, it's a collaboration between Chelsea and our medical staff, but they decided he can't play tonight.
“He's going to play on Friday [against Wolves], but for now it's Chelsea who decided he can't play tonight.”
When asked how frustrating that is to essentially have Chelsea dictating when Satpayev can and can’t play, Hayen added: “Yeah, but it's also part of the deal that if they're injured they go to their medical team and work together with our medical team, so we knew.
“Of course it's unfortunate, because when you saw Dastan also coming on at Watford, you have another threat.
“It's a different player than Andreas [Hountondji] to come on. Even more depth, more speed, more technical ability.
“Now Dastan can’t play and every week it’s something different. But we keep working really hard and it’s Friday, it’s a new game.”
