Winning the Champions League is the ultimate achievement in European club football, but only a select group of teams have managed to lift the famous trophy multiple times.
The competition began life as the European Cup in 1955 before becoming the UEFA Champions League in 1992, with victories across both eras counting towards a club’s overall record.
Real Madrid won the first five editions of the competition in the 1950s and have remained Europe's dominant force, lifting Old Big Ears in six different decades. Their 15 Champions League crowns are more than double the next most successful side, AC Milan.
Paris Saint-Germain are the most recent winners, securing a second straight title in 2026. The French champions are one of only two teams, alongside Real Madrid, to have won back-to-back trophies in the Champions League era (1992-present).
