On Tuesday, multiple outlets reported that Bournemouth are now open to selling their star midfielder this winter. He will not come cheap, though.
It is thought that it could take £130m to get Scott out of the Vitality Stadium. The good news for Chelsea is that if they can agree a fee with the Cherries, the 23-year-old is likely to sign for them.
Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that Scott would “absolutely” move to Stamford Bridge if the Blues can strike a deal with his current employers. However, his willingness to join Chelsea does not mean they are the only club he would consider.
According to Phillips, Chelsea also need to be wary of rival interest from other Premier League outfits. Whatever the case, this development is a positive one for them.
Jordan Henderson shone against Bournemouth last weekend, but Chelsea need to sign a new midfielder after Enzo Fernandez’s departure. Scott could be that midfielder, perhaps as early as January.
