Liverpool center-back Jeremy Jacquet indicated to the bench that he might need to be taken off shortly before his substitution against LASK in the Champions League.
During the international break, the French defender missed France's final match due to his load being managed. He has played a lot of minutes at the start of the new season and could therefore be feeling the effects.
While there was no injury as such, he is clearly treading a fine line when it comes to avoiding a hamstring issue. Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez came on for Jacquet and Ronald Araujo just after the hour mark in Austria.
TNT Sports co-commentator Lucy Ward noted that Jacquet had gestured to the bench after a sprint with Samuel Adeniran around the hour mark in Austria.
Very quickly, Iraola made the decision to change the center-backs, with Araujo another who has had a lot of action in the early weeks of the campaign.
Liverpool was 4-0 up at the time. Bradley Barcola, who had scored twice, went on to complete his hat-trick. Florian Wirtz was a good performer too, alongside Rio Ngumoha and Lewis Koumas.

Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai all missed the trip to LASK through injury. Iraola said earlier in the week that they won't be out for long.
However, there has been no exact timeline for a return outlined yet. Liverpool plays Brentford next and also has games with Villarreal and Brighton the horizon.
"The Champions League is a competition that everyone wants to play in," Iraola said before the game.
"It’s a team that in their competition, they won the competition. They are normally dominant, they spend a lot of time on the ball, and they have to change their approach a little bit when they go to face stronger opposition in the Champions League.

"We have this season the precedent of Celtic losing here 5-1 in extra time. We have to respect them.
"I could feel it in the first game against Atletico. It was a lovely atmosphere, a lovely win. We started the competition well and we want to continue in the same way.
"We want to continue with a win in this case away, because [not] winning in this competition is very expensive. So, we want to take the points that we need early, because otherwise you put yourself in trouble."
