**Bradley Barcola scored a hat-trick as Liverpool returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion with a chaotic 6-3 Champions League victory over LASK.**
Andoni Iraola’s side were without Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai but their much-changed team produced a devastating attacking display in Austria.
Ronald Araujo opened the scoring after 22 minutes with his first Liverpool goal before Barcola struck twice in quick succession to put the visitors 3-0 up before half-time.
Jeremie Frimpong added a fourth shortly after the restart before LASK pulled one back through Robert Ljubicic.
Barcola then completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute, with Lewis Koumas adding Liverpool’s sixth soon afterwards.
LASK did at least give their supporters some hope, with Florian Flecker scoring twice to reduce the deficit, but the damage had already been done.
The victory was a much-needed response from Liverpool following their 3-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City, while Barcola’s treble provided a response to recent scrutiny over his start to life at the club.
